PROFESSIONAL WORK

Below you will find a collection of graphic design work that I have done in a professional setting. Whether it be advertisements in in-flight magazines, gift cards for restaurants, or poster designs for various organizations, I have yet to say no to an opportunity to broaden my design work.

Samsonite

I had the opportunity to work with Samsonite on some of their in-flight magazine spreads, as well as airport billboard ad space. Samsonite was my first freelance design job, and it taught me a lot, and taught me very quickly how the industry works for a graphic designer. I was often given advertisements that needed new luggage, or an old advertisement needed to have verbiage changed and a different coloured bag added. Below I have displayed several of the advertisements I edited, which found their way into the world as my first taste of graphic design. Using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and many google searches, I carved a spot for myself with Samsonite having no history with graphic design other than what I taught myself over the years and one elective course I took at University.

Boston Pizza

Boston Pizza was the next freelance job I managed to land. They needed gift cards created for the teams they officially sponsored. Being a Canadain company, these teams included the Toronto Blue Jays with the MLB, the majority of the Canadian Hockey teams in the NHL, and the Edmonton Eskimos in the CFL. Given a few guidelines I created gift cards for all the major sponsored teams that were similar across all sports. The cards were used for both online gift cards, as well as plastic physical copies available at participating Boston Pizza Locations. This job really challenged me to master Adobe InDesign, with the majority of my design work being done in Photoshop, but the backbone of the cards being developed using InDesign.

Volunteer Builders

Volunteer Builders is an non-for-profit based out of Oakville Ontario. I am fortunate to both work closely with the organization to watch it grow, as well being able to donate my time to a worthy cause. In doing so, I have done several graphic design jobs for the organization, anything from posters and website banners, to t-shirts and logos. All of the work below was created using Adobe Photoshop

Logo Design

Ever since I started playing around with photoshop in high school I was drawn to the possibilities the program offered. I started with cutting the faces of my friends and I in and out of pictures, which lead me to creating images for my high/school university friends, which lead me to doing freelance graphic design. Below are examples of images created for anything from t-shirts for fundraisers, to posters for events.
